By buying locally grown, raised and processed food and agricultural products, you are receiving high quality fresh products and helping Colorado’s economy, local farmers, ranchers and greenhouses, manufacturers and processors in our area.
SNAP benefits are doubled up to $20 per family per week thanks to the generosity of Slow Foods Roaring Fork.
The Market also partners with the Garfield County WIC program to allow their clients to buy grains, fresh fruits and vegetables at the Market.
Double Up Food Bucks Colorado will help increase access to fresh, Colorado-grown fruits and vegetables among those who are low-income.
The program increases the amount of fresh produce SNAP recipients can purchase.
With Double Up Food Bucks Colorado, SNAP recipients will receive up to $20 in Colorado-grown fruits and vegetables when they use their SNAP benefits at participating farmers markets or select retailers.
If a family spends $20 in SNAP benefits at a participating farmers market or select retailer, they will get an additional $20 to buy Colorado-grown fruits and vegetables.
SNAP benefits will be matched dollar for dollar to be put toward Colorado-grown, fresh fruits and vegetables, up to $20 per visit.
